The Wave MIDI controller in the form of a ring is a project of the technological startup Genki Insruments (Iceland), presented on the Indiegogo crowindfinding platform. Unlike conventional rings with a fixed size, Wave can be put on a finger of any thickness, thanks to a special stretch bracelet, where the main module of the ring is inserted.
To learn how to use Wave, you need to master five basic movements, which you will then need to “tie” to the software. For example, moving the hand with the right-to-left ring, you change the volume control, and to change the tempo, you just need to tap with your finger.

The Wave filling consists of a Bluetooth antenna, motion sensors, a battery designed for 4 hours of operation and a special Eurorack module for connecting a gadget to synthesizers.
Wave has already been successfully tested in combination with a variety of digital audio applications – Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Reaper, Bitwig, FL Studio, Studio One, Garage Band G-Stomper Studio / Rhythm and others. With the planned 30,000 start-ups already collected 43,000 dollars. On Indiegogo Wave can be purchased for 129 dollars.

It is worth noting that this is not the first such gadget. For example, one of his predecessors is the iRing musical ring from Enhancia Multimedia, with which you can gesticulate your hands and control sounds and effects.
